Beagle Channel and Estancia Harberton

Trip Code USH01 • Full day tour (8-10 hours) from Ushuaia, Argentina • Available from October until March.

Full day nature and photo journey to the famed Beagle Channel, in southern Tierra del Fuego. On this trip we will follow the wake of Charles Darwin and Captain Robert Fitz Roy’s Beagle and its survey of the area in the 1830s. We will visit sea lion and seabird breeding colonies, including cormorants and penguins. The highlight of the trip will be Estancia Harberton, a historic location that will tell us about the origins of the ill-fated early inhabitants of the island and the first ‘white’ pioneers that colonized this remote part of the world.
